Sabah’s first premier online lifestyle magazine, LifeAndStyle.com.my, was officially launched on Saturday 23rd May 2009 at Blue Note, Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa.

This event saw the well heeled elite of Kota Kinabalu enjoying the red carpet treatment complete with the flashing bulbs of ‘paparazzi’ as they made their way towards an evening of glitter and glamour.

Approximately 200 guests at this by-invitation-only event were feted to champagne, cocktails and canapés through the evening in the sophisticated social setting of Blue Note.

Upscale entertainment was provided by way of popular mentalist and mind magician David Lai who made his way through the crowd and worked his magic. Celebrity emcee Daphne Iking charmed guests with her polished grace while Elson Kho, Executive Director of Maxx Media Sdn. Bhd., officiated the launch.

Guests also had the opportunity to view showcases from Royal Selangor (LifeAndStyle.com.my pewter mugs) and Ulysse Nardin (a selection of coveted watches), while Land Rover displayed two of their popular vehicles, namely the Freelander and Discovery 3, at the entrance to the launch venue.

Last weekend saw the launch of the first ever presentation of museum pieces from Switzerland by master watchmakers Ulysse Nardin, at Marina Cafe, Sutera Harbour Marina, Golf & Country Club in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Over 100 watch enthusiasts were treated to an exclusive showcase of complex and elegant timepieces as luxury brand Ulysse Nardin, renowned for their revolutionary award winning inventions in horology, presented The Lost Art Of Enamel Cloisonné exhibition.

This opulent and luxurious exhibition was led by Dato’ Rolf W. Schnyder, owner and president of Ulysse Nardin, who has over 40 years of watch production experience under his belt. The event was launched by Guest of Honour Yang Berhormat Datuk Masidi Manjun, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Sabah.
